Prof. Ana Borovečki Apponited President of European Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Healthcare (ESPMH)

Head of the Department of Social Medicine and Organization of Health Care at University of Zagreb School of Medicine and Chair of Focus Group 2 - Research Ethics and Integrity, prof. Ana Borovečki, is the new president of European Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Healthcare (ESPMH).

The president's mandate began on January 1, 2025, until which time Professor Borovečki held the position of president-elect.

ESPMH was founded by an international group of distinguished philosophers, physicians, ethicists and other interested experts in the field, faced with the growing need for critical reflection on the role of medicine and health care in today's society.

The goals are to stimulate and promote development and methodology in the field of philosophy of medicine and health care, to be the central point of contact for European scientists and experts in this field, and to exchange international contacts and communication between members.
