Database of Technology Transfer (TT) Internal Experts The Alliance4Life Database of Technology Transfer Internal Experts is a curated list of professionals from member institutions with expertise in technology transfer—the process of turning research results into real-world applications and collaborations with industry. Developed under the A4L_BRIDGE project (Task T11.1), the database includes over 20 experts from 11 partner institutions. Their expertise spans:

  • Intellectual property management
  • Industry collaboration
  • Licensing and commercialization
  • Innovation support
  • Research impact strategies

Each expert profile contains information such as institutional affiliation, areas of expertise, bio sketch, training topics, and availability for online or on-site sessions.

Alliance4Life members can use the database to:

  • Organize internal or joint TT training sessions
  • Invite experts to lead workshops and seminars
  • Build institutional TT capacity
  • Facilitate industry-research collaboration

Access: The database is restricted to Alliance4Life members only, accessible with institutional login credentials.

Database of Mentors

The Alliance4Life Database of Mentors brings together over 100 experienced scientists from all 12 member institutions who are ready to serve as co-mentors for PhD students within the alliance. Developed as part of Task T4.1 of the A4L_BRIDGE project, the database supports the internationalization of doctoral education and promotes meaningful cross-institutional collaboration.

  • Availability for short-term internships
  • Contact and institutional details

PhD students and supervisors can use the database to identify co-mentors who offer complementary expertise and international perspective. The project also supports short-term research stays (up to 7 days) in the co-mentor’s lab, fostering deeper collaboration and skills exchange.

Database of Thesis Committee Members

The Alliance4Life Database of Thesis Committee Members includes more than 100 qualified scientists from partner institutions who are available to serve as external members on doctoral thesis committees.

Created within Task T4.3 of the A4L_BRIDGE project, the database helps institutions meet formal requirements for thesis evaluations and strengthens the international dimension of doctoral education.

Profiles include:

  • Research focus and methodological expertise
  • Publication and grant record Institutional and contact information
  • Graduate schools can use the database to appoint external committee members for thesis topic approvals, progress reviews, or final defences.

The tool supports tasks T4.4 and T8.1, which aim to hold at least 36 committee meetings with external members.
