About the Event
The workshop will introduce the general budget structure and funding rules of two major Horizon Europe funding models – actual cost grants and lump sum grants, with the inclusion of examples specific for ERC grant scheme. Participants will be able to understand different budget categories, Horizon Europe conditions for cost eligibility, and the most common strategies for constructing a budget depending on the project size. In a practical session, the participants will be given a model project description and will use provided budgeting tools to prepare a sample project budget
Božena Čechalová is an experienced Research Management and Administration (RMA) professional with 10 years of expertise in supporting researchers in the preparation of competitive grant applications, including international Horizon consortia and successful ERC awards. She is a member of the EU-LIFE Grants and Funding Strategies Group and a member of the ERC RMA Working Group at Masaryk University, with a focus on proposal development and research funding strategy.
This interactive workshop is aimed at Research Managers and Administration professionals seeking to expand their pre-award skills, for junior group leaders, senior postdoctoral researchers, and interested PhD students with International collaborative research ambitions.
