About group Group members

The Alliance4Life Science Evaluation Focus Group unites experts from member institutions to enhance the methodologies and practices of research assessment within the network. Members collaborate to share best practices, exchange innovative strategies, and strengthen their collective expertise in evaluating scientific performance, outputs, and impact. Together, they benchmark evaluation metrics, develop strategic frameworks, and implement joint initiatives to promote fair and effective assessment processes that support research excellence.

The group facilitates peer training and engages external experts to improve skills in areas such as bibliometrics, qualitative assessment, and the alignment of evaluation practices with global standards. Members also identify funding opportunities to address shared challenges, such as integrating responsible research evaluation principles or adapting metrics to evolving research landscapes. Serving as an advisory body, the Science Evaluation Focus Group supports work package and task leaders by offering tailored expertise in assessment strategies, ensuring that evaluation processes align with the goals of fostering innovation and societal impact.

Previously, she coordinated scientific evaluations and PhD program initiatives as Science Policy Manager at CEITEC.

Head of the Centre for Scientometric Support and Evaluation at Masaryk University, focusing on scholarly communication, research assessment, and bibliometrics, with a specialization in social sciences and humanities. He promotes responsible evaluation, researches publication patterns, and leads the CZARMA.cz group on science evaluation. A member of ENRESSH and a national expert for ERIH PLUS.

Michaela Macečková

The International Clinical Research Center of St. Anne´s University Hospital

Silvia Pastoreková

Key contributor to Alliance4Life’s strategic initiatives, co-inventor of CA9-based cancer diagnostics, and member of EMBO for achievements in life sciences.

Daniela Gašperíková

Scientific Director of the Institute of Experimental Endocrinology at BMC SAS and a member of Alliance4Life's FG1 group, focusing on science evaluation. She leads research in human genetics, including monogenic diabetes and obesity, and inherited disorders. With a DrSc. in Genetics, her work has earned multiple awards, advancing endocrinology and genetic research.

Maciej Chalubinski

Medical University of Lodz

Specialist in allergology, internal medicine, and clinical immunology, a professor at the Medical University of Lodz, and head of the Department of Immunology and Allergy. Leads Biobank HARC, National Science Centre, and Horizon EU projects. Research focuses on airway infections, asthma, and immunity, with 54 international publications, an H-index of 15, and 988 citations.

She leads a project on therapies targeting transthyretin in Alzheimer’s and holds degrees in pharmacy and biomedicine.

An IT professional with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, he has experience in software development, search systems, and systems integration. His research interests focus on bibliometrics and university rankings, which are also the topics of his ongoing PhD thesis.
